PERSON SPECIFICATION

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent qualifications and experience.  LOCATION
Batil refugee camp, Maban county. Upper Nile State
REPORTING TO
Maban Response Team, Health Project Manager.
OVERALL PURPOSE
. To facilitate achievement of the medical objectives to reduce morbidity and mortality by provision of emergency healthcare services to refugee populations in Maban county
RELATIONSHIPs
Nurses, Health Managers, project coordinator , partners, base manager, finance Officer UNHCR, Nutrition team etcs/

 JOB DESCRIPTION

Clinical Officer, Maban, Medair South Sudan

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Uphold Medair values at all times, both within and outside working hours.

2. Medical / Technical

  • Provide consultations to patients attending the clinic including examination, diagnosis 
and  prescription of medications.
  • To provide treatment to any patients presenting in an emergency, stabilise condition 

and arrange referral for ongoing care as necessary.
  • Provide patient education and instruction on prevention of illness, 

proper use of medication and good hygiene.
3. Quality Management
- Aim to achieve the highest quality programming possible within a challenging context.
- Ensure all diagnosis and treatment is based on the Guidelines of the Ministry of Health 
and the IECHC guidelines.

4. External Representation
- Represent Medair in relevant meetings in Maban County as requested.
- Meet with the County Health department, other local authorities, UNHCR and 
other NGO partners as requested.

5. Administrative

To accurately record all attendance and patient details in register books and tally sheets.
Assist Health Managers in compiling weekly and monthly reports required by the Ministry of Health, UNHCR
and Medair .
Ensure that Health Manager is aware of need for restock of items in clinic in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
DESIRED
Vocational qualification
Clinical Officer or Medical Assistant.

Work experience
2 years post qualification experience.
Experience working in primary health care setting
At least 1 year experience
 working with an NGO
Languages
Fluent spoken and written English.
Spoken Arabic  

IT

Familiar with word, excel and outlook.



WORK CONDITIONS
You will work and live in Ganylel in Unity State, a location of relative insecurity in South Sudan. Living conditions will be basic and the pace and hours of work are demanding, requiring resilience. Travel to the field is by small plane or car.

CONTRACT DURATION
3 months with possibility of extension

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The Computer Technical Assistant helps administer the Embassy’s computer and communication networks.  The position is under the supervision of the Information Management Officer. 

He/She installs and maintains hardware and software, work stations, and PC applications on the Embassy’s network.  Provides formal and informal training to digital technology users, and interfaces with local vendors. 

Complies with system security regulations; diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves problems on the unclassified network hardware, with software, and throughout the cable plant.

The Computer Technical Assistant is responsible for managing mail, file and print servers, workstations, switches, routers and printers.  Must ensure proper configuration of access rights, as well as efficient performance of the servers.  Responsible for troubleshooting and identifying hardware faults on the servers.  Supports cell phone, Blackberries services, and radio communication systems.

Finance Officer Job for South Sudanese

Position: Finance Officer South Sudan

Stationed in Juba and reporting to the Program Coordinator and the Regional Director, the accountant will be expected to display professionalism in executing his/her duties.

Responsibilities:
•   Maintain detailed records for all financial transactions in an organized and professional manner.
•   Perform daily functions including recording all cash, check and bank transfer transactions, maintain cash and bank ledgers, monitor cash advances and field expense reports, reconcile cash on hand and monthly bank reconciliation. 
•   Ensure financial/accounting activity is carried out in accordance to Mulrany International accounting policies and perform other duties as assigned. 
•   Ensure adequate cash flow for operations and safety of financial resources in South Sudan. 
•   Ensure contracts are current on all rental properties, facilities, and vehicles. 
•   Prepare and submit month-end reports to Mulrany International Regional office regarding country-wide operations in a timely fashion. 
•   Follow all procedures provided by Program Coordinator and Country Director. 
•   Maintain integrity and accuracy in financial records and perform other duties as assigned. 
•   Preparation of annual accounts; 
•   Preparing  cash flows; 
•   Ensuring that adequate financial controls are in place to maintain propriety and proper accountability of expenditures;

Qualifications:
•   CPA finalist or ACCA certifications with three years related experience and the training. 
•   Knowledge of Quickbooks is desirable
•   Strong relational skills and financial management experience preferred. 
•   Experience with foreign currencies and grants management preferred. 
•   Above average communication skills-both verbal and written in English. 
•   Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. 
•   3 month contract with the potential for renewal.
•   Must be of South Sudan Nationality.
